NICE LOT: SLINGERLAND, VIC FIRTH, AMRAWCO, YAMAHA & MORE: CATALOGS & MORE! LOOK!
This week on EBay we are offering up this nice collection of drum catalogs and drumming literature.
A whole stack of catalogs and brochures from my collection. These were picked up at various NAMM shows and other drum clinics over the years. Some were sent to me. The 1976 Slingerland Catalog is something I had lying around.
    What’s in this lot is:
There are some Slingerland Items. A 1976 complete Slingerland Drum & Percussion Catalog.
A Slingerland 1980 parts catalog, a slingerland Magnum catalog, a Slngerland 1990 price list, a Slingerland 1983 price list and various other Slingerland brochures.
A Vic Firth Drumstick Catalog circa 2000
An American Rawhide Amrawco Drum Head Story brochure that appears vintage (70s?)
A packet of Yamaha Drum information: Catalogs, Oak drums, drum kits, snares, system drums catalogs, hardware catalogs and brochures from NAMM 2002.
A GMS drum catalog from NAMM 2002
A Noble & Cooley Drum Brochure with several different drum pamphlets/catalogs circa 1990
3 different Premier Drum ‘Sticktips’ brochures (Age?)
A Grover percussion concert catalog circa 1998, and a Grover snare drum brochure.
A Black Swamp Percussion catalog circa 1999
All in all some cool drum literature, catalogs and brochures that I thought someone out there might enjoy.
Condition is excellent. These were tucked neatly away for years since getting them and gently reading them.
    I’m sure you’ll enjoy them.

The main value here is the old Slingerland Drum Catalog from 1976. It is packed with great drums, drum sets, hardware and percussion items.
Slingerland drums go back to 1912 and were in Niles, Illinois and a direct competitor with Ludwig, up the road in Chicago. Slingerland quit making drums in about 1982 when Gibson took over for a few years.
Many Jazz players preferred Slingerland over their competitors. Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich were big fans. Slingerland made Banjos in the early days as well as snare drums. They even dabbled with early electric guitars before Leo Fender and his models took off.
In the 70s they made the popular Magnum drums and continued the popular Radio King drum line. Danny Seraphine of Chicago and Nigel Olsson of Elton John’s band were fans. They also made the famous wooden Rolling Bomber series during the 1940s.
Slingerland made some fine Marching Band drums including the TDR marching snare drum. Many popular marching bands insisted on unique sounding Slingerland drums.

Everything is being offered up as one big lot. I’m sure there’s somebody out there that would love having it. I’m too old and too arthritic to play much anymore and it’s time to pass it on to the next generation.
I tried to show everything in the photos. Again, it’s all in good shape and I’m sure you’ll like it. Any questions, just ask!
