This apron was designed by a farrier for farriers to create protective equipment that is functional, stylish, and professional-looking.

Designed for slender adults or adolescents
Hand-Crafted from Leather:
All pieces were cut from veg tan that was dyed with Fieblings Professional Dye and were both conditioned and sealed for durability.
Decorative Snaps:
Built into the belt and on the leg straps for quick release in case of emergency.
Pre-Formed Pockets:
Each pocket (one on each leg) affords the ability to keep essential tools handy including left-handed and right-handed hoof knives for hoof trimming, clinch gouge/grooved, clinch cutters, toe rule, etc.  The pocket helps keep those sharp hoof knives safe and secure.
Saddle-Stitched By Hand
:  All joints were saddle-stitched, providing double reinforcement of the connection in case one side of stitch becomes compromised.  All stitch holes were hand-punched, and stitching was done by hand.
Riveted High-Stress Joints:
Rivets were placed at the ends of high-stress points for reinforcement.
Interchangeable Buckle & Belt Extension:
Snaps on the belt allow for easy buckles changes and/or belt extension.
Repairs
:  Worn-through thigh patches can be easily removed and replaced (by a leatherwork service or by the resourceful DIY-er).
The belt has been embellished with a horseshoe buckle. The apron and belt can be embellished with stylish rivets and conchos.
This apron is built to last and will get more supple with use ... break-in required.
