    Description

Astra Regvnt Vitam aeternis Legivus Astra Reguntur
Ancient and unique box with astrological chart
signed Leibnitz. Zodiacs astral planisphere map.
It is an old wooden box. lifting the lid we find behind the plansphere hand-drawn in ink and signed by Leibnitz. on a second cover there is a rotating glass disk and underneath a second planisphere with the zodiacal signs and months of the year. under the second glass a scale with an inscription in old Latin that reads:
Astra regvnt vitam aeternis legivus astra reguntur
(The stars reign eternal life, the stars are ruled by the law)
Under this second cover there is a compartment where originally there were batteries and a light. when it was turned on, part of the rotating disk lit up. place a test lamp for the photo. (see photo 9).
Currently the battery, power cord and lamp have been removed but can be easily replaced. The charts, plansterios are older. The first hand-drawn in ink and signed is extremely old. I am not an expert, but surely someone can say if it corresponds to the time and signature of Leibniz, Gottfried Wilhelm, Freiherr von (1646-1716).
    Measurements: 26cm (10 "1/4) x 22cm (8" 1/2). height 10cm (4 ")
Its condition is as shown in the images and is mentioned in the description. There is a broken glass under the map that can be replaced.
