the Polish Cavalry Units, the core of the Polish Army into the first quarter of the 20th Century, the Cavalry units fought many battles against various enemies,
most famous Battle of Komarow in 1920 during the Polish-Bolshevik war, in September 1939 were 16 confirmed cavalry charges by the Polish Army in the September Campaign and most of them were successful, e.g. Charge at Krojanty, Battle of Mokra, Battle of Lasy Królewskie, Battle of Husynne or Battle of Krasnobród.  Later, the Polish Army on the Western Front continued its pre-war tradition of Uhlan regiments giving their names to armoured units and took  part in many battles like Battle of Monte Cassino or Battle of Bologna
