    1960s Ludwig Pre-Serial Acrolite Prototype / First Generation Snare

    Finish : Aluminum
    Often referred to as a the Acrolite Prototype, the first generation of Ludwig Acrolites featured a textured aluminum shell, aluminum hoops and aluminum lugs. Because of the fragile nature of the aluminum parts, these drums didn't last long and many of the parts were replaced by more durable brass / steel parts. This Acrolite retains all of teh original aluminum parts. The drum shows some signs of aging, however is free of modifications.
